Sedimentos Fragments / 2022
These images are made through the layering of drawings, collages, and transfers from my sketchbooks and loose pieces, much like diary entries. I understand these images as sediments—fragments of a physical memory, pieces that break off throughout the creative process. They are the result of the constant erosion of mind and hands in contact with the world. I deeply admire drawings for their immediacy. They can be clean, quick, and direct from hand to paper—making them feel intimate for they are closely connected to the initial feeling, object, or idea.
Imaginar esses fragmentos como sedimentos, partes que se desprendem ao longo do processo criativo. São resultados da erosão da cabeça e das mãos com o mundo, todo dia, o dia inteiro. esse trabalho constante de coletar, observar e tentar fazer algo, ou refazer.
